Legendary actor Morgan Freeman stepped late in the limelight but the success he earned through his versatile performances promptly landed him among the most respected actors. Born in Memphis, Tennessee to a teacher Mayme Edna and a barber Morgan Porterfield Freeman on 1 June, 1937, Morgan debuted as actor at age nine, portraying the lead character in a school play. He lost his father to cirrhosis on 27th of April 1961. He has 3 siblings. All of them are elder to him. He spent his formative years places such as Gary, Indiana; Greenwood, Mississippi and lastly Chicago, Illinois.
