Wen was married to Kirk Aanes, an American actor in 1990. However, the couple divorced after 3 years of marriage in 1993. Two years later, she romantically linked up with Eric Michael Zee. The same year, the couple got married.
In 2000, the duo was blessed with a daughter named Michael Kitlin. However, Wen gave birth to a second son named Cooper Dominic Zee. Prior to marriage, she had dated Brett Hinch, an Australian actor from 1985 to 1989.
Born on November 20, 1963, in Coloane, Portuguese Macau, Wen is the daughter of Lin-chan. During the 1960s, her parents moved to Portuguese Macau from Suzhou. She spent her early childhood in Hongkong. Later, she and her mother moved to the United States along with her step-father.
She attended Mt. Lebanon Pennsylvania. Later, she enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University and honored with BFA degree in Theatre. During her teenage, she worked in her family restaurant Chinatown Inn in downtown.

Wen began her television career with a TV series Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood in 1985. She appeared as Lien Hughes in the serial drama ‘As the world Turns’ from 1988 to 1991. Later, she starred in drama series ER on NBC during the 1994/95 season. However, she left the ER drama series and began to co-starred in the comedy series The Single for three years until 1997. Eventually, she returned to the ER series in 1999 and appeared till season 11 in 2004.
In 1998, she voiced FaMulan on the Disney animated movie Mulan and its sequel Mulan II. Besides this, she has voiced in several animated movies including Kingdom Heart II, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, The Batman, Spawn and so on.
Wen has participated and won the World Poker Tour in 2004. The following year, she portrays as Rachel Lu in the drama series ‘Inconceivable’ on NBC. After two Seasons, the show was canceled. Later, she appeared in numerous drama series including Vanished, George Lopez, Two and Half men, Privates Practice, Boston Legal, Eureka and so on.
