Ever since her show Best Friends Forever was unfortunately not picked up for a second season by NBC, Lennon Parham’s fans were begging for her to appear on television once again with her equally hilarious counterpart Jessica St. Clair. Well, they got what they wished for on April 29, 2014 when her latest series Playing House started its much awaited run on the USA Network which also stars Jessica. Born on October 26, 1976, Lennon has time and again proved her worth in the comedy scene in America from the larger than life characters she plays. Best friends with her partner in crime, Jessica St. Clair, Lennon and Jessica are an inseparable mix of comedy.

Lennon is from Marietta, Georgia. A Parkview High School graduate, she went to the University of Evansville from where she received her bachelor’s degree. Upon graduation, she didn’t dive into comedy immediately but took a job as a high school French instructor in Greenville, Mississippi where she stayed for a couple of years. She dived into comedy right after she finished her work with Teach for America. She was introduced to the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater soon where she met her on-screen and off-screen bestie, Jessica. The two comediennes have formed a heartwarming friendship over the years and are very much present in each other’s life, spending the better half of their time of their days together. The duo wedded within days of their wedding in July 2006. Lennon has been married to her husband Javier Guzman since 2006 and has a daughter with him who was born in 2013 only a few months before Jessica gave birth to her own daughter.

Lennon and Jessica’s latest comedy, Playing House, is centered on the lives of two friends, Maggie Caruso played by Lennon Parham and Emma Crawford played by Jessica St. Clair. The first season revolved around Maggie’s separation from her husband and Emma flying out to Pinebrook to be with Maggie during her pregnancy. The series also stars Keegan-Michael Key, Zach Woods and Brad Morris. The first episode of Playing House premiered on the USA Network in 2014 and ended its first season with ten episodes. The success of the series led the network to renew it for a second season which will be airing on the channel later in 2015. Prior to Playing House, the comic duo had starred on their other aptly titled comedy series Best Friends Forever on NBC in 2012. The show was unable to get the approval of the network and was cancelled on April 27, 2012. With the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, she has appeared in several roles on stage. On television, she was seen as a guest star in Boldly Going Nowhere, Parks and Recreation, Big Lake and How I Met Your Mother. She also had a regular supporting role in the comedy Accidentally on Purpose. Over the years, she has also appeared in Childrens Hospital, NTSF: SD: SUV, Mad Men and Arrested Development. In 2009, Lennon also appeared in minor roles in movies like Strangers, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Hysterical Psycho and Splinterheads. She has also performed with New York’s The Second City and She Tried to be Normal starring Lennon was chosen in 2009 by the Montreal Just For Laughs.

Presently based in Los Angeles, Lennon Parham is quickly rising as one of the most popular female in comedy in television. She and her best buddy Jessica St. Clair by her side, the duo have been winning hearts of several people with Playing House and their fans eagerly await for their return to the USA Network in 2015.
