Jerry Stiller is an American comedian and actor, born on June 8, 1927. Jerry Stiller is also an Animal Right Activists and famous for the comedic performances he did with his wife Anne Meara.
He is also known for being the father of one of the most acclaimed actors and comedian Ben Stiller with whom he appeared in “Zoolander”, “Heartbreak Kid”, “Hot Pursuit” and “Heavyweights”.

Jerry Stiller married wife Anne Meara in 1954 and has successful marital and parental relationship with her, being a father to two children, Ben Stiller and Amy Stiller. Sadly for Stiller, he became alone when his wife died on May 23, 2015.
Stiller was born as Gerald Isaac Stiller to parents William Stiller and Bella Citron in a Jewish household.
His father’s parents were immigrants from Galicia and his mother was from Poland. Born as eldest of four children, Stiller did his high school from Seward Park High School Located at Lower East Side.
He studied in drama at Syracuse University and got his bachelor’s degree in 1950, in Speech and Drama.

Stiller and wife Meara formed a comedy group- “Stiller and Meara”, which was a big hit in the 1960s and 70s, appearing on a diverse range of TV variety programs, mostly on “The Ed Sullivan Show”. The profession declined with the disappearances of variety shows.
They did radio commercials until they started a 5 minute syndicated sketch comedy show called “Take Five with Stiller and Meara” from 1977 to 1978.
