Heather Miriam Watson, professionally known as Heather Watson is a British tennis player as well as the British No 1. She was born on 19th of May 1992 in Saint Peter Port, Guernsey. Daughter of Papua New Guinean and Ian Watson, Heather has three siblings; two sisters and one brother. She discovered her passion very early and began playing tennis at age seven. By age 12, she was admitted in the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy located in Florida. She graduated through Pendleton High School in 2009.

Heather Watson, running in her early twenties is more focused about her career than dating anyone. As she is still very young and has lots more to do in her field, she has all the time in the world to find her prince Charmin or get married.

In the year 2006, Heather Watson tennis career took off as she earned the British Under-14 Championship. The following year, she as well grabbed the British Under-16 Championship and became semi finalist of the British Under-18 Championship. She took a big stride in March 2009. She played very first senior tournament at the Jersey Open. However she has to return home in second round as she lost with another superb player Katie O’Brien. At Frinton $10000 tournament, she experienced one of the prime moment of her life. She won her first ever senior title after beating Anna Fitzpatrick. She seeded eleventh for the girl’s single at the 2009 US Open. She won against Yana Buchina in the finale.

At 2009 French Open Heather along with her partner reached the finale of girl’s double, however the duo of Heather Watson and Timea Babos were beaten by Elena Bogdan and Noppawan Lertcheewakarn. At the Australian girl’s doubles, she along with Yana Buchina became seventh seed and at the U.S. girl’s doubles, they were sixth seed but the duo returned home after 1st round at both competitions. At Wimbledon Heather teamed up along with Magda Linette, however could not make it to the final.

Heather first started competing on the International Tennis Federation circuit in 2009 after entering the qualifying competition for Bath $10000 event however could not win a match. She entered Jersey $25,000 event. Beaten in several games, she ended up at number 5888 in 2009 season. She started the year 2010 as a wild card into Sutton $25,000 ITF event. She ended up as a quarter finalists. In April 2010, she again became quarter finalist of Mississippi $25,000 ITF. Following this Heather qualified for the Charleston’s WTA event. She started the year 2011 by qualifying and reaching quarter finals of the 2011 ASB Classic. The same year, she entered 2011 Australian Open. Heather lost to Evgeniya Rodina in the quarterfinal of 2011 Cellular South Cup. She won the title for the first time ever in the 2011 French Open after beating Stefanie Vogele.

In the year 2012, heather Watson participated in 2012 Australian Open, French Open, Stanford Classic, Mercury Insurance Open, 2012 Summer Olympics, Texas Open, 2012 Bell Challenge, 2012 Toray Pan Pacific Open, 2012 HP Open. The same year she was chosen for the GB Federation Cup Team. She as well became first British female player since 2002 to compete in 3rd round of Wimbledon. She began 2013 by qualifying for the 2013 Australian Open and for the first time, she reached in the second round. She was the 8th seed in the 2013 PTT Pattaya Open. Due to a glandular fever, she missed Great Britain’s Fed Cup challenge against Argentina. At the 2014 Dow Corning Tennis Classic, she defeated Ksenia Pervak in the finale to claim her crown and grabbed her 4th ITF title. She eventually qualified for the 2012 Western & Southern Open.

While not touring around the globe for the tournaments, she loves listening music, swim, art and dance. Besides, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family and have traditional British dinner.
