Fox News’ Co-President Bill Shine Out Of Fox Following Bill O’Reilly’s Sexual Harassment Scandal

After Bill O’Reilly, co-president of Fox, Bill Shine is out of the network, an insider told New York Magazine’s Gabriel Sherman on Monday.

 

As per the reports from CNN, the news was later confirmed by 21st Century Fox executive chair Rupert Murdoch when he told  employees that Shine had resigned, 

 

 

“Sadly, Bill Shine resigned today, I know Bill was respected and liked by everybody at Fox News. We will all miss him.” Murdoch said to his employees.

Pressure had mounted on Shine subsequently after the former host Bill O’Reilly’s was outed following his sexual harassment scandal.

An insider told The Hollywood Reporter that media mogul Rupert Murdoch and sons James and Lachlan were considering replacing Shine with a woman to help revamp Fox News’ image.

According to the recent statement from Murdoch, Suzanne Scott has been chosen “President, Programming,” and Jay Wallace is elected as the new “President News”.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the FOX’s Murdoch is looking forward to hiring a female in charge as he feels hiring a female in charge wold would lend credibility to their commitments to promote “a workplace based on the values of respect and trust,”
