Erin Brown | Biography

People might not be much familiar with the name Erin Brown but they surely must be acquainted with American actress Erin Brown's stage name Misty Mundae. Under this moniker Erin has appeared in several films in the years between 1997 and 2002. In the last decade she made herself known in the industry through the long list of horror movies that she has worked on. Born on October 16, 1979, Erin has also dabbled in filmmaking and music herself. In addition to Misty Mundae, the award winning actress is also famous in the film industry as Sadie Lane.

Erin was born and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois. In her early career, Erin has also worked as a model. She has appeared in a couple of movies with her older sister, Chelsea Mundae, who is older than her by five years. Standing at a height of 5'6", Erin also learnt to play guitar early at life. The actress has kept her out of public eye for the past few years and remains elusive about her relationship status. In the late 1990s, she was known to have dated fellow actor William Hellfire who directed the movie Vampire Strangler which starred the then couple.

Erin began her career by working under Factory 2000. She appeared in several movies under the contract with the productions. It was during this time that she adopted the pseudonym of Misty Mundae. She also signed with E.I Independent Cinema where Misty Mundae found her true calling. In 1999 she starred in the thriller Vampire Strangler opposite William Hellfire. A year later she made her way to Paris where she started filming for Vampire of Notre Dame. Under E.I Independent Cinema, she appeared in following movies such as Playmate of the Apes, Spiderbabe and 2004's Lord of the G-Strings. She also starred in the 1999 Duck! The Carbine High Massacre which was inspired by the Columbine High School incident that occurred in the same year. She has appeared in a series of thriller B movies like The Screaming Dead, Bite Me! (which also starred her sister), Chantal and Sinful. She received a nomination for Best Actress at the New Jersey International Film and Screenplay Festival in 2006 for Sinful. She was seen in a music video for CKY's Shock and Terror. In 2004, a short film titled Voodoun Blues was released by Shock-o-Rama Cinema after which Erin left E.I Independent Company to take a chance at mainstream movies. She later appeared in a few independent films of horror genres like Shadow: Dead Riot, The Lost and in 2006 she was seen in a Masters of Horror episode called Sick Girl. Her breakthrough role came with Robert Kurtzman's The Rage in August 2006. Her first romantic comedy was All Along which was released in 2007 and starred in Splatter Beach and Dying God later that same year. She once again appeared as Misty Mundae in the 2008's Sculpture. Most recently she starred in This Girl's Gun by Lukas Persson which garnered her a Best Actress win at the PollyGrind Film Festival in 2012.

As a screenwriter, Erin debuted with Lustful Addiction in 2002. She also directed the movie as well as starred in it. The movie was an adaptation of a film of the same name released in 1969.
