Darren Collison is a former Basketball player in National Basketball Association. The American athlete played for ‘Sacramento Kings’, ‘Dallas Mavericks’, ‘Indiana Pacers’, ‘New Orleans Hornets’, and ‘Los Angeles Clippers’.
However, he recently retired from basketball. Apparently, the reason behind the retirement is to spend time with family alongside an unselfish cause.

Darren Collison, born on August 23, 1987, is a native from Rancho Cucamonga, California. Similarly, he is a son of Denis and Griffith. Both of his parents were top-ranked sprinters and elite track athletes from Guyana.
Darren spent most of his childhood in California and attended Etiwanda High School. He was awarded as a fourth-team Parade All-American.
Later, he attended UCLA for his college studies. He played college basketball for them. Likewise, in his junior and senior years, he played 142 games with an average of 14.4 points, 1.6 steals(per game), and 4.7 assists.
Similarly, he won MVP in the Maui Invitational Tournament. As an exciting prospect, he was selected by the New Orleans Hornets in the first round of 2009 NBA Draft.
During his year spell there, he managed an average of 18.8 points and 9.1 assists starting 37 games for them.
Later on August 11, 2010, Indiana Pacers traded him with James Posey. He played there for 2 years but didn’t have much notable influence in the team.
Therefore, they traded him to the Dallas Mavericks where he had an injury-filled season.
Then in 2013, he signed a deal with Los Angeles Clippers and averaged 13.3 points and 6.5 assists playing just 32.6 minutes.
Furthermore, he joined the Sacramento Kings and had a couple of best games of his career. Consequently, in 2017, he returned back to Indiana pacers.
The most notable game during his 2-year tenure there is against Washington Wizards with 17 assists.
The star became ‘NBA Three-Point Field Percentage Champion’ in 2017.
On June 28, 2019, he retired from his successful career.
