Daniel Baldwin’s inclination to the acting has propelled him to the high stardom. Acting wasn’t in his genes but now, his deep interest and equivalent workouts has led him to achieve well-respected position in the entertainment industry. Alongside his solo-career fame, he is also well-recognized as a part of Baldwin Family. He is the 2nd eldest amongst the five Baldwin brothers including Alec, Stephen and William. All of his brothers are prolific actors. Now, alongside his acting ventures, he also landed jobs of directing and producing.

He was born as Daniel Leroy Baldwin on 5th October, 1960 in Massapequa, New York of United States to mom, Carol Baldwin (homemaker) and dad, Alexander Rae Baldwin, Jr. (high school teacher and football coach). His mother successfully battled against breast cancer and got a new life. He was brought up in the Catholic household and has English, French, German, Scottish and Irish ancestries. He is 2nd amongst six including his brothers: William, Alex, Stephen and two sisters: Jane Baldwin Sasso and Beth Baldwin Keuchler. He had studied at Alfred G. Berner High School and completed his graduation in 1979. Raised up with his competitive siblings in large & middle-class American-Irish family, Baldwin found his position as an excellent footballer while he was in his high school. Thereafter, he had attended Indiana’s Ball State University majoring psychology.

Before emerging into the acting industry, he had landed the job of sports-betting handicapper for several years. Leaving the job of handicapper, he then began taking the theater classes at HB Studio in New York. Later, he became the last amongst the Baldwin brothers to enter the showbiz world earning the small role in made for television thriller movie ‘Too Good to be True’ in 1988. Then, he continued his work with guest roles in numbers of sitcoms. Finally, he scored his very first feature film role in ‘Born on the Fourth of July’ (Oliver Stone-directed movie) in 1989 opposite to Tom Cruise. He was then picked for the regular cast in the short-lived sitcom ‘Sydney’, which followed his small role in comedy disaster movie ‘Nothing But Trouble’. In 1993, he joined the cast of ‘Homicide: Life on the Street’ to portray the role of Det. Beau Felton and remained in the cast till 1995. After then, he returned to television movies and portrayed in movies like ‘Attack of the 50ft. Woman’, ‘Twisted Desire’, ‘Family of the Cops’, ‘Mulholland Falls’, ‘Trees Lounge’ and many more. In 2000, he went to reprise the role of Det. Beau Felton in the movie ‘Homicide: The Movie’ and continued with TV films: ‘Our Fathers’ and ‘Anonymous Rex’. Then, he played in small-budget movies: ‘Sidekick’ & ‘Moola’. In 2008, he landed the role of frequent commentator in tru TV’s production, ‘The Smoking Gun Presents: World’s Dumbest’. In 2014, he won Best supporting Actor award at Madrid International Film Festival for his role in feature film titled ‘Helen Alone’.

After almost two decades of entry into the show business, Baldwin moved to subrub of Portland, Lake Oswego, Oregon and started his own production company named ‘Grilletto Entertainment’. Alongside acting, he has also participated in various reality television shows. He had participated in VH1 series ‘Celebrity Fit Club’ in 2005 where he was the captain of the team ‘The Eastsiders’. Afterwards, he had also appeared in VH1’s reality sitcom ‘Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew’ in 2008 and joined ‘I’m a celebrity…Get Me out of Here!’s cast in 2009. Throughout his career, he has earned the net worth of $400 thousand.

While going through his personal life details, he has been found thrice married. During 1980s, he had shared his first wedding vows with Cheryl Baldwin. His first marriage ended leaving a 1984 born daughter named Kahlea to him.  Then in 1990, he married for the second time in his life with Elizabeth Baldwin, an actress. The couple welcomed their daughter named Alexandra in 1994 and finally separated with the legalized divorce in 1996. 2nd divorce followed his nearly a decade-long courtship with Isabella Hofmann, his co-star in ‘Homicide: Life on the Street’. In 2008, he married British model, Joanne Smith. Finally, he ended his conjugal life with Smith after birth of two daughters: Avis Ann and Finley Martineau in 2012. As of November, 2014, he is engaged to entrepreneur, Robin Sue Hertz Hempel.
