The fictional character, Cal Knight played by Richard Winsor, was stabbed to death in the latest episode (April 29) of Casualty.

Cal was brutally stabbed to death by a dangerous Scott Ellison as he tried to stop him from carrying out a revenge attack on his brother Ethan.

Another character, Dylan Keogh found him lying bleeding by the entrance to the hospital, but in spite of several efforts to save him, Cal dies a the end.

Talking to, the producer of the show, Erika Hossington said, “It’s always a huge decision to kill a Casualty favourite and one we never take lightly,”

“Cal has been a great character and that is absolutely down to Richard and the wonderful life he breathed into him. His relationship with Ethan, their special bond and their ups and downs have been at the heart of the show for the last 3 years,”

“It was so important that Cal had a heroic and emotional farewell, in keeping with his character, but also in relation to his brother Ethan. We were all crying on set when we shot those resus scenes,”

Well, we can no more see Richard Winsor on the show. Besides Winsor who made his debut back in January 2014 had been the regular cast member for the show over three years.
