Previously, Brian worked for ESPN where he used to serve as a regular anchor on “SportsCenter”, hosted ESPN2’s “Friday Night Fights” and also had his independent program on ESPN Radio “The Brian Kenny Show”. Over the years, he has gathered much fame and recognition for the work he has done. Born and brought up at long Island, New York Brian had graduated from St. John’s University. From thereon, he moved to the New York Institute of technology for his higher studies. He completed his graduation in 1985. Once done with University, he came out much stronger and prepared. He only needed some place to begin with. Extremely ambitious and focused Brian stepped on to the world of journalism by coming to “Long Island News Tonight” at NY Tech (1985). After that point on, his career just took off.

Some couple of months later, he moved to WLIG-TV in Riverhead to work as a news reporter and sports anchor. Only after a years’ association, Brian came to WTZA-TV. He started working as their Sports Director and stayed there from 1986-1997. His outstanding work at WTZA won him multiple prestigious awards making him one of the sought after sports personalities of that time. He enjoyed an outrageous and successful career there, no doubt. Next he came to ESPN. While at ESPN, he got to serve as an anchor for network’s many different programs. Besides, “SportsCenter” and “Friday Night Fights”, Brian was the host for” Baseball Tonight” and “The Host List” on ESPNEWS. Similarly, he’d also anchored “the top 5 reasons you can’t blame” and “ringside”. In 2004, SI.com named him “Media Personality of the year”. If that weren’t enough, next year he became the recipient of the “Sam Taub Award” too.

After contributing over a decade’s time at ESPN, he bid his final goodbye to the network on August 31, 2011. Since, he’s one ambitious man; he wouldn’t have just remained satisfied from the accomplishments he had achieved. He wanted more. Out of the greed, Brian went on to become an anchor for MLB Network. Brian made his debut there on “MLB Tonight”. Later on, he started becoming a regular face on that network too. For now, he’s got his own show “Clubhouse Confidential” featured on that channel. On March 21, 2013 Brian made his initiation towards NBC by becoming their host of “The Brian Kenny Show” on NBC Sports Radio. Today, his career had completed its 25th year.
