Sierra Boggess professionally started her career in 2006 with The Phantom of the Opera. Prior to that, she performed in Les Miserables, The Boy Friend, The Pirates of Penzance and Sweet Charity.
After graduating, Sierra began working for Ensemble as well as an understudy for Cosette during the US tour of Les Miserables. She performed at 5th Avenue Theatre and Goodspeed Opera House as Binky and Ram Dass for Princess. Previously, she also worked for West Side Story, The Boy Friend, The Pirates of Penzance and Sweet Charity.

In 2006 while she was playing in Les Miserables, Sierra got the opportunity to play in The Phantom of the Opera of Andrew Lloyd Webber in Venetian Resort and Casino. She starred in the lead role of Christine Daaé with co-stars Brent Barrett and Anthony Crivello until 2007.
From 2007 to 2009, Sierra performed her milestone role of Ariel in The Little Mermaid in Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Her other works include Love Never Dies, Master Class (2011), It Shoulda Been You (2015), School of Rock (2015-16) and Secret garden in 2016. In the silver jubilee event of The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall, London in 2011, she played Christine Daaé.
In February 2012, she was cast in Love, Loss, and What I Wore of Off-Broadway until March of that year. She came back in Les Miserables in a role of Fantine at the Queen’s Theatre in July 2012.
