Stephanie Abrams is a popular American television meteorologist. At present, she is serving for The Weather Channel, as a co-anchor of a show AMHQ along with Jennifer Carfagno and Jim Cantore. Additionally, she has covered the news of 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada.

Personal Life

Born on 27 October 1978 in Wellington, Florida, Unites States, Stephaine Abrams is the daughter of Dr. Barry Abrams, infectious disease specialist. She attended Forest Hill Community High School. Later, she joined the University of Florida, Gainesville and graduated with B.S in Geography, minoring in mathematics and nominated to Phi Beta Kappa. She also served as President of the chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon organization.

She enrolled at Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee and graduated with B.S. in meteorology with an honor of Cum Laude. And also took classes of meteorology at FSU as a teaching subordinate. She along with her colleagues practiced on-air foretell on FSU Live which was student –run reports and climate production on a Tallahassee Cable Channel.

Moreover, she is also associated with National Weather Association (NWA) and the American Meteorological Society (AMS) from where she achieved the seal of authorization. From 2002-2003, she stayed as a president of the North Florida chapter of the AMS.

Meteorologist Stephanie Abrams and ex-husband Mike Bettes met in 2003, working together for The Weather Channel. Mike proposed her and they decided to turn their love life into married life. However, their marriage failed and later got divorced just after four months.

The reason behind their divorce is still mysterious. However, Bettes’ extramarital affair could be one of the many reasons. None of them has spoken openly about their separation. Though people have suspected her of being pregnant neither she nor Bettes responded to the news.  The pair has no children as their married life didn’t last long.

Mike Bettes is now married to Allinson Chinchar, a CNN meteorologist. It is believed she could be the main reason behind Abrahams and Bettes divorce. However, Stephanie remained single for a very long period time. Recently, she got engaged in 2017. She has shared a picture in social media with her fiancé and engagement ring on her finger. She has kept it secret about the new man in her life and yet to reveal more about him.

This glamorous meteorologist appears very spectacular on and off screen. She has got the height of 5 feet 8 inches and weight of 61 KG. Professional Career and Growth

During her early days, Abrams worked as a meteorologist at WTXL in Tallahassee, Florida. Thereafter, she moved to The Weather Channel on 3 July 2003. Since 2005, she worked as a reporter and temporary worker. She appeared as co-anchor in her first show, Weekend View in 2005. A year later, she became an on-camera meteorologist as a co-anchor of Abrams and Bettes: Beyond the Forecast and then moved to Weather Center with Mike Bettes.

Abrams has co-hosted the show Wake Up With Al with co-anchor Al Roker from 2009-2015.  In 2012, she was interim weather presenter for Weekend Today after Bill Karins and Janice Huff resigned and until the arrival of Dylan Dreyer.  She too co-anchored the show like On The Radar (2012-2013) and Morning Rush (2009-2014). Currently, she is co-anchor of America’s Morning Headquarters and infrequently appears for Roker’s Today.  She also cameoed in Sharknado 2: The Second One in 2014.
