Actor Paul Bettany is currently 44 years old in reference to his date of birth which is reported as 27th May, 1971. He took birth in Shepherd’s Bush as the son Thane and Anne Bettany. His father, Thane, is a renowned dancer, actor and drama tutor while her mother, Anne, is a stage manager, stage singer and theatre teacher. Paul is the second child of her parents. He has an elder sister named Sarah and had a younger brother Matthew who died at the age of 8. Following his brother’s death, Paul dropped out of his school and left home to live on his own. During those days, he earned his living by playing guitar in streets of London. Later his parents divorced and his father re-married to Andy Clark.

Paul has been romantically linked with English actress Emily Mortimer and Scottish actress Laura Fraser before meeting the love of his life, Jennifer Connelly. Paul met Jennifer for the first time on the set of the film A Beautiful Mind. Paul played the role of a supporting character named Charles Herman while Jennifer played the lead role as Alicia Nash in the film. Jennifer won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA along with various honors for the phenomenal performance she made in the film. The couple commenced dating in April 2002 and married on 1st January, 2003. Their wedding ceremony was held privately in Scotland which was attended by their close family.
