Lindsay initially stepped into the broadcasting industry as an intern for Washington based WUSA, when she was still attending college. She then excelled to become production assistant for CNN while on-air news reporter for WAWS in Jacksonville, Florida. She was also pit reporter in network broadcasts of NASCAR Nationwide Series races at the Martinsville Speedway and at the IRP Bush race.

When George backed out from the show, she along with her colleague Dan Hellie filled in for the position. In 2008 she joined NBC desk reporting breaking stories on sports and also took over the role of hosting Oxygen’s Gymnastics on Oxygen, which was predominantly based on gymnastics and several other Olympic competitions.

After working four years with the network, she departed from the NBC 4 Washington and joined ESPN and made her debut at SportsCenter, reporting preseason football games in August 2011. On April 2013, she substituted Brent Musburger to anchor ABC exclusive coverage of Indianapolis 500, becoming the first women to present the simulcast.

Currently, she has returned back to her local station to contribute NBC coverage of Super Bowl after her contract with ESPN terminated. She will be reporting from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis site of Super Bowl LII.
