Kristin Cavallari happens to be one of them. Born on January 5, 1987, Cavallari was one of the original members to star in the MTV reality show alongside other Laguna Beach stars like Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, Lo Bosworth, and Talan Torriero to name a few. The reality star has since then become an admirable television personality, an accomplished actress and has dabbled in fashion designing.
Cavallari is originally from Denver, Colorado where she was born as the youngest child of Dennis and Judith Spies Cavallari. After her parents’ divorced, the family split in half. Her brother moved to Laguna Beach, California with her father and she and her mother settled down in Barrington, Illinois where she attended Barrington High School. Shortly, she went to live in California with her brother and father where she eventually attended Laguna Beach High School which would make her a starlet in no time. It was during her junior year at Laguna Beach High School that she starred in Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. During this time, she was in a relationship with future One Tree Hill actor Stephen Colletti which was one of the major plots for the reality series. She also dated her The Hills co-actor Brody Jenner for some time. She is currently happily married to Jay Cutler. She and the Chicago Bears quarterback began dating in 2010 and were engaged a few months later. They married on June 8, 2013 and are parents to their two sons. In 2004, she also dated football player, Matt Leinart.
Cavallari’s popularity in American television stems from her appearance in Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County when she was in her teens. The MTV reality was centered on the lives of high school students like Cavallari who attended Laguna Beach High School in California. The first season was centered on actress Lauren Conrad and her senior class. Cavallari nabbed the narration of the show for its second season. One of the major story lines on the show was the rivalry between Conrad and Cavallari because of their relationship with their co-star Stephen Colletti. After her departure from the show, she went to the Loyola Marymount University. She was soon offered a role in another reality show called Get This Party Started that was aired in 2006. The show was not picked up by the channel but Cavallari managed to appear in television in other roles in series such as Veronica Mars, CSI: NY, Adventures in Hollyhood and Cane. She made her film debut with Fingerprints that same year. In 2008, she appeared with Amy Poehler in Spring Breakdown and with Torrey DeVitto in Green Flash. She has also appeared in Wild Cherry, and National Lampoon’s Van Wilder: Freshman Year in 2009. Her popularity in the reality series circles led her to being cast on the spin-off to Laguna Beach, The Hills, on which she appeared as a replacement of former rival Lauren Conrad. She first appeared on The Hills when season five was running in 2009. In 2010, she appeared as a celebrity contestant on Dancing with the Stars where she was the partner of Mark Ballas. She has appeared as a guest judge in America’s Next Top Model and Cupcake Wars.
The reality star has been involved in charity events for AIDS research campaigns. She has shown her support for PETA and the NOH8 Campaign. She has been to Kenya and El Salvador in support of different causes.
