Born with birth name John Clayton Mayer, this American singer and song-writer has kissed the elevated fame in the musical industry of the America with the name John Mayer. Born on 16 October 1977 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA to school Principal Richard and English teacher Margaret, as a middle child of the family and was raised in Fairfield, Connecticut along with his elder brother Carl and younger brother Ben.

He was admitted to Center For Global Studies at Brien McMahon High School for his junior year. He got fascinated towards the instruments after watching Michael J. Fox’s guitar performance in Back to the Future and pulled out guitar at the age of thirteen. Adolescent John began taking guitar classes through a local guitar-shop proprietor and eventually got addicted to music and soon started playing local blue clubs with band Villanova Junction and solo. The album helped him to grab 5 nominations for Grammy Awards in 2007, winning Best Pop Album for “Continuum” and Best Pop Song with Vocal for “Waiting on the World to Change”. His fourth album, “Battle Studies” hit the market in November 2009 and in no time it topped the Hot 200 chart. He dropped his fifth album “Born and Raised” in 2012. After a year his sixth album “Paradise Valley” was launched. Apart from singing, he was seen in television in 2004, hosting a one-shot, 30 minutes comedy special on VH1 named “John Mayer Has a TV Show”. He has made numerous appearances on other television programs and talk shows, most remarkably, on a Chappelle’s Show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien and the Late Show with David Letterman.
