Haylie Duff Biography

Hollywood celebrity, Haylie Duff is a famous television and film actress and singer. She is also a producer, lyricist and an enthusiastic blogger. She is widely recognized for appearing in 7th Heaven and movies such as Napoleon Dynamite and Love Takes Wing. The award winning actress has appeared in several television shows since 2000 and also guest starred in Lizzie McGuire with her younger sibling, Hillary Duff. She was born on February 19, 1985.

Haylie was born and raised in Houston, Texas with sibling Hilary Duff. Her father is a business owner and her mother is a film producer and acts as a manager to Hilary Duff. She has shared that she thinks herself as a Christian. As a girl, she trained for dance and was a ballet performer. When she was eight, she starred in a production of the House Metropolitan Dance Company. She is currently engaged to long time boyfriend Matt Rosenberg and is planning her future wedding with her fiancé. Her fiancé proposed on April Fools’ Day in 2014. In interviews, she said that she was thrilled to be getting married to her fiancé who is an entrepreneur.

As her debut movie performance, Haylie appeared in Addams Family Reunion in 1998. She received the Young Artist Award in 1999 for the role. As a teenager, she appeared as a guest star in many television shows such as Chicago Hope, Boston Public and Lizzie McGuire. She also recorded songs for The Lizzie McGuire Movie with Hilary Duff. Her early movies include Dreams in the Attic, The Newman and Napoleon Dynamite. She won a Teen Choice Award for Napoleon Dynamite. Over the years, she continued to appear as a guest star in a number of television shows such as Third Watch, American Dreams, That’s So Raven, One on One and Complete Savages. She was seen in movies like Material Girls, Dishdogz, My Sexiest Year, Pretty Little Devils and Tug. She was nominated for Worst Actress and Worst Screen Combo at the 2007 Golden Raspberry Awards for Material Girls. One of her most popular roles was on The WB family drama 7th Heaven. She played the lead character of the television series in 2005 and continued her role for two roles. She was nominated for her second Teen Choice Award in 2006 for 7th Heaven. In 2009, she appeared in the TV film Love Takes Wing as Dr. Annie Nelson and reprised her role in the sequel, Love Finds a Home. She voiced an animated character in Foodfight! in 2012 which also features actors like Eva Longoria, Charlie Sheen and Hilary Duff. That year she completed three more films, Desecrated, Golden Winter, Pennhurst, Home Invasion and guest starred in the teen drama, The Secret Life of the American Teenager. She was the host of the reality series Legally Blonde The Musical: The Search for Elle Woods on which she is credited as an executive producer. In 2013, she was cast in movies like Slightly Single in L.A., Taken by Grace, Christmas Belle and Hats Off to Christmas. In 2014, she won the Stellae Award for Best Actress for Taken by Grace and completed several movies which are in post production such as Muffin Top: A Love Story, Sweet Surrender, A Belle for Christmas, Badge of Honor and Naughty and Nice. She is also set to appear in the move Til Death Do Us Part in near future. She has earned a net worth of over $1.5 million.

Besides acting Haylie Duff is also shares interests in singing and songwriting.  She and Hilary Duff have collaborated in several songs for movies such as The Lizzie McGuire Movie, In Search of Santa and A Cinderella Story and Haylie has provided lyrics for Hilary’s few songs. Haylie is also a successful blogger who talks about her interests on food on the Real Girl’s Kitchen blog.
